Rahul Gandhi, son of Sonia and Rajiv Gandhi, is apparently the only Pappu ever born in Gandhi family. Within India and abroad, he is popularly addressed as “Pappu”. If you don’t know what “pappu” means, a pappu is someone who is slow, understands things the wrong way and who often needs an explanation to almost everything as he/she cannot analyse what is going on. To be precise, pappu means dumb and duffer. Now, why Rahul Gandhi is known as Pappu can be best explained by Rahul himself. On various occasions, Rahul Gandhi is seen speaking the opposite. For example, a month ago (November 2023), right before the state elections of Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Telengana, during a press conference, instead of saying that “Congress will win all these 4 states”, he said “BJP will win these states” and suddenly, he realises he spoke the opposite and then obviously he corrected himself. Imagine, a major candidate of Congress who wants to fight the national election to become the Prime Minister of India does such a blunder, how will he be able to run a country. This is why Rahul Gandhi is known as Pappu.

Here’s another example – two months ago (October 2023), during an event in one of the college institutions in South India, Rahul Gandhi directly told the students in the auditorium that “Swach Bharat” campaign is not working at all – to which, suddenly, all the students shouted back saying “it is working”. They clearly rejected his idea. This shows Rahul Gandhi’s pappuness. We understand he will never acknowledge the work and progress done by PM Narendra Modi and the BJP as being an opposition party, but, if he was smart, he could have figured out another way of his dialogue delivery.

In another episode, during a press conference, Rahul Gandhi told the media that you can’t find Rahul Gandhi now because he has killed Rahul Gandhi. If that Rahul Gandhi is not there physically, then during elections, as a PM candidate, people who want to vote for Rahul Gandhi will now vote for who? Then why is he running the campaign to vote for Rahul Gandhi if he himself says Rahul Gandhi does not exist anymore. This is being extremely kiddish, foolish and this also the reason why Rahul Gandhi is known as Pappu. This list is never ending. Everyday, Rahul Gandhi proves and forces the world to call him Pappu.
Another Pappu episode of Rahul Gandhi – 3-4 months back, during “Bharat Jodo Yatra”, Rahul Gandhi was seen dressed in red as a “coolie” at one of the railway stations to seek support of the coolie community. A coolie is a helper guy who assists passengers at railway stations in exchange of a small fee. To gain media attention and people’s attention, he placed a suitcase with wheels on his head and started to walk with the rest of the coolie gang. Now, social media reacted to it saying – such a dumb guy to do this and not instead drag the suitcase as it has wheels on it. Well, we couldn’t stop laughing and Rahul Gandhi yet again made a mockery out of himself as always. This is also why Rahul Gandhi is known as Pappu.
Recently, Rahul Gandhi was seen copying the facial style of PM Narendra Modi as he grew a long beard similar to Modi. He ditched his own style of a clean shaven look and wanted to look mature and manipulate the people of India with his fake looks but Indians aren’t as dumb as Rahul Gandhi.
