Canada Arrests Suspects In Khalistani Terrorist Nijjar’s Killing: Report

According to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Canadian police have arrested members of a suspected hit squad believed to be involved in the murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in British Columbia last year. Sources indicate that the suspects were identified in Canada several months ago and have been closely monitored by investigators.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced in September that Canadian authorities were looking into allegations connecting Indian government agents to Nijjar’s fatal shooting. However, New Delhi dismissed Trudeau’s assertion as “absurd.” Canada has been urging India to cooperate in its investigation.

The United States later revealed that it had thwarted an assassination attempt against a Sikh separatist on its soil. The presence of Khalistani militants in Canada has been a long-standing source of frustration for New Delhi, which labeled Nijjar a “terrorist.”
