Remember the school days when we used to have house parties with retro theme? We should show up wearing baggy trousers, lots of floral dresses, a high puff hair style, wet look hair for men and those round framed glasses. This is exactly what The Archies film has got it right. We love the colour of the dresses being worn by Suhana Khan in the trailer – bronze or dark orange. This colour takes us back to the 80’s era.

2. Floral Movie Sets that adds a bit of French Retro to The Archies Film

The trailer shows enough to understand the look of the movie backgrounds and sets being used. The wallpapers and their colours used in The Archies film are extremely retro. Although, they are trending in India too for the last few years but when you get to see such interior and backgrounds in a movie like The Archies, we know it is retro. The Archies was an American comic and although, it does not really gel well with the American culture, but it surely gels well with the branding of this movie. We like it!

Surely we all are aware of photo filters, thanks to Instagram. One of our favourite reasons to watch the trailer several times – the decor created using lots of nude blues and pinks with a circus like set-up makes you think of Willy Wonka, The Chocolate Factory movie and if you feel this emotion while watching The Archies Film, definitely you are in the 80’s era within your mind. Netflix has surely nailed this and we give them a high five for this.

Not to forget the feminine bicycles with flowers, as it used to be during our parents generation. Dear Netflix, Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor and others (we can’t remember their names or faces), we are looking forward to watch the movie and throw a review on it too.
