The Big Chill cafe, that started its journey more than a decade ago is still ruling the hearts and bellies of Delhi people. Whatsoever, the food tastes still the same as it used to ten years ago and that too at its every other restaurant within Delhi NCR.
What usually we have seen is that people get bored of Italian food of a specific restaurant very quickly and move on to the next newly launched cafe. This is how it is among Delhiites but Big Chill has managed to steal every damn Delhi heart.
Although, each time when I personally have a meal at The Big Chill, I decide that I won’t be coming back for the next 365 days but somehow, the craving returns and I see myself dining there again under two weeks or sometimes, even lesser.
BUT WHO HATE THE BIG CHILL?
But, there is another side to it – there are different types of Delhi people and there is this one variety that purely hates The Big Chill. But why? Any guesses?
From what I can personally gauge is the Delhi audience that runs after the Louiss Vuittons, doesn’t want to be a part of the masses. They simply don’t follow the trend. Well, The Big Chill isn’t a trend though but this Delhi audience will do everything opposite to what the crowd does. And I feel them (at times). Another reason for this could possibly be extra cheese in every meal at The Big Chill. No matter what you order, every recipe is loaded with cheese and that too, pure.
I would like to mention one thing here; the quality of ingredients used at The Big Chill Cafe are absolutely premium, pure and mostly imported. I personally know of a supplier who imports several FMCG upmarket ingredients from Dubai and supplies them to this cafe. Hence, if the ingredients are quality and pure, we can of course expect the cheesy pasta and lasagne to taste spectacular.
Although, the pricing of every meal is a bit high and could be not for every Tom, Dick and Delhiite. So, here’s our version of why Delhiites are going gaga over The Big Chill Cafe while we are sitting in the end of 2023. Great job, must say!
