General Hospital actor Killed – Johnny Wactor has died

Los Angeles: Actor Johnny Wactor, recognized for his role in General Hospital, was fatally shot early Saturday morning in Los Angeles. At approximately 3:30 am, the 37-year-old and a colleague were at the intersection of West Pico Boulevard and South Hope Street when they noticed three masked individuals attempting to steal a catalytic converter from his vehicle in downtown LA.

According to statements from Mr. Wactor’s mother and police, the actor approached the thieves. Despite not resisting, he was shot by one of the suspects, who then fled the scene in a car, TMZ reported.

The actor was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, a police source said.

Mr. Wactor’s mother, Scarlett, provided further details about the incident. She told NBC that her son had been working as a bartender at a nearby rooftop venue. After assisting with a “deep clean” following the last call, he walked to his car with three co-workers. Two of the co-workers headed in a different direction to reach their vehicles, leaving Mr. Wactor and one colleague to proceed to his car.

When they arrived at his vehicle, which was lifted, Mr. Wactor initially thought it was being towed, given that he had parked in an unfamiliar area, anticipating a late shift. Ms. Scarlett explained that her son attempted to communicate with one of the masked individuals. As he approached, the suspect shot him and then fled in a waiting car.
